The YMCA’s Board of Directors are pleased to present the First Annual Awards Breakfast -A Benefit for Kids event. We will be inviting community leaders to attend, to enjoy breakfast and a great message from a well known keynote speaker plus the presentation of Awards for Youth Leadership, Service and Community Partnership. The event will be celebrating our collective efforts in building a better us and raising money for the YMCA’s program initiatives. Focusing on the community aspect of sharing a meal, this year’s event (150+ projected attendees) will take place at Gallivan Hall in downtown Salt Lake City and consists of a delicious breakfast and a fun-filled program. Last year our signature event raised nearly $80,000 for YMCA's out-of-school programs, health & wellness programs and summer camps. We hope you’ll join us for our First Annual Awards Breakfast 2016

Youth and Government is a Mock State Legislature event held in the Utah State Capital. At the capital students from 7th - 12th grade will elect representatives, write bills, debate bills, and potentially earn the chance to go to Washington DC.

State qualifier for the You Be the Chemist National Competition at Mound Fort Jr. High in Ogden. Participants and their parents are welcomed to join us for a sub sandwich lunch at 12:30pm!

The Y offers a large variety of afterschool clubs and activities at Ben Lomond High School. Come join us as this year's clubs show off their skills and achievements. Clubs include culinary, Future Business Leaders of America, computer programming, robotics, and more. This free event will include fun games and activities for all ages.

Many kids have no real personal financial experience outside of pocket money. "Reality Town" is an activity designed to increase financial literacy among 8th and 9th grade students as part of the Y’s commitment to youth development. Reality Town not only gives students information about financial literacy, but it allows them to apply what they learn to 22 different real life scenarios. After experiencing these scenarios students will be more likely to make better future financial decisions.
