For over 60 years youth and teen programs at Camp Roger have offered a wide variety of activities, all centered on helping school-aged kids grow in spirit, mind and body.
Countdown to Camp!
Camping at the Y is a fun and unique experience that gives children and teens the opportunity to discover their full potential, meet new friends, play and create memories that last a lifetime. With so many distractions, youth aren’t spending enough time outdoors. Through camping children and teens explore nature, become a community and develop confidence, independence, leadership and social skills.
The traditional camp experience is designed for campers to discover the world of outdoor adventure through a well balanced schedule of activities. Traditional Camp provides an opportunity for campers to participate in the wide range of activities offered at Camp Roger, including; mountain biking, archery, hiking, arts and crafts, orienteering and horseback riding. Traditional Camp offers the best "all around" camping experience plus, you can connect any traditional camp session with any other camp session with a stay over!
This summer the Y will be offering 8 weeks of Summer Day Camp programming. Our Day Camp is divided into three age-appropriate groups(ages 4-14) in which campers engage in arts & crafts, outdoor education, fire building, teambuilding and much more. Summer Day Camp Programming is design to excite youth about what they participate in and learn each and every day. Each week has a specific theme that influences the week’s schedule such as: snacks, outdoor games and activities.
